The Canon EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM is an inexpensive zoom lens for full-frame Canon cameras. It's quite sharp, but requires some distortion correction to get the best results. Best Deal £414.99
I recently tried taking some landscape and cemetery photos with my 6D MII and the Canon EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM in full moon light. (Yes, I know that's not an ideal lens for nighttime photography.) Getting the right focus was by far the most difficult thing about it.
Now, in the case of the Canon RF 24-105 non-L that is under discussion, I have owned this lens and found the image quality a little disappointing, but not at all terrible. At full screen size (just a standard 1800 dot computer screen) I had to pixel peep a little to see the reduction in corner sharpness compared to the EF 24-70 f/4 L.
Canon EOS RP Mirrorless Camera & RF 24-105mm L Lens Review What’s in the box?
The normal price now is $125, and is still a very low price for such a lens. I don't have the 24-105mm L, so i can't really compare but regarding colors, I am pleased with the picture below that was taken with my 50mm 1.8 STM, no polarizer, just plain lens with a UV filter on it and the Canon lens hood. F:11, 1/125s, ISO 100, 6D Mk II.
At 50 mm my 24 -105 mm is very close to image quality of the EF 50mm F/1.8. reviewed November 17th, 2006 (purchased for $1,100) 9 out of 10 points and recommended by przemekszymbra (3 reviews)
